Board of Directors
As prescribed by the Constitution and By-Laws of the North Carolina Association of Agricultural Fairs, the Board of Directors is elected by the member fairs at the Association's annual convention. Board of Director applicants must be actively involved as an owner, manager, or operational officer of a member fair or associate business. The Board of Directors is made up of a President and Vice President and four directors who are geographically dispersed around the state.
The Board of Directors is made up of the following positions: the President and Vice President, who are each elected to two-year terms; two Associate Members, one representing carnivals and the other representing non-carnival associates; the immediate Past President; and one Past President representing the Past Presidents. The Executive Secretary/Treasurer sits on this board as an ex-officio member who does not vote. If the President is not able to fulfill the term of office for any reason, the Vice President/President-Elect steps in to finish the term.
The Executive Committee is made up of the President, Past President, two Vice Presidents, and one other board member selected by the Board to sit on the Executive Committee.
